As a CG artist at Team One, I help create the imagery that goes into the online visualizer for Lexus’ North American website.

Working in a Maya to Unreal pipeline, my roles include data prep, UVing, rigging, lighting, and lookdev.

Process

Rigging

Seats are one of the most complex aspects of the visualizer, since we need to able to show a large combination of seat types, arrangements, and colorways.

I tested and deployed a lightweight system using a basic rig within a blueprint that allowed us to update the seat geometry and materials without duplicating meshes for each seat type.

This system provided an intuitive way to make changes during angle hunts and creative sessions.
