LEXUS.COM VISUALIZERS

Unreal Engine
Maya

As a vehicle CG artist at Team One, I create the imagery powering the online configurator on Lexus' North American website. My work spans the full Maya-to-Unreal pipeline — from data prep and UVing to rigging, lighting, and lookdev.

Vehicle Artists: Ryan Toups, Henry Toledo

Camera Artist: Ryan Vasquez

I lead vehicle configuration for the visualizers, ensuring every model, trim, package, option, and color is accurately represented in alignment with Lexus' strategic vision. Working within a PBR workflow, I develop and refine materials against physically accurate references and lighting conditions to ensure each vehicle renders true to life.

Process

Rigging

Seats are one of the most complex aspects of the visualizer, since we need to able to show a large combination of seat types, arrangements, and colorways.

I tested and deployed a lightweight system using a basic rig within a blueprint that allowed us to update the seat geometry and materials without duplicating meshes for each seat type.

This system provided an intuitive way to make changes during angle hunts and creative sessions.
